    The best resource on the history, prehistory and culture of Canada is now proudly published by the University of Ottawa Press (UOP) and the Canadian Museum of Civilization. The public announcement was made during UOP’s fall launch event.

    The University of Ottawa Press (UOP) today announced the most recent titles added to the UOP collection. Lara Mainville, director of UOP, also announced the launch of two new series, as well as an exciting new partnership with the Canadian Museum of Civilization and a partnership with the University of Ottawa Library Network in support of the open access. Today also marked the unveiling of the new visual identity of the University’s publishing house, one that speaks to modernity yet reflects the history of this classic institution, founded in 1936.

    In partnership with the University of Ottawa library, UOP has digitized volumes from 1898 to 1972 of the University of Ottawa Review, including the general indexes. This journal is a microcosm of a century of intellectual dialogue at the university.

As of October 2011 all UOP ebooks are available online to the University of Ottawa community. In addition, over 50 titles from UOP’s open access collection will also be fully available to anyone using the Scholars Portal platform.
